The Impact Grant Program was a multi-year grant initiative of the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. It provided multi-year capacity building support ($25,000 - $50,000 per year) to small and mid-size dance, theater and multidisciplinary arts organizations. The intent of the Impact Program was to improve the health of emerging arts organizations or help established groups in navigating critical transitions.

As part of the program, each organization worked with a Foundation-supported consultant to develop a tailored plan outlining programmatic and organizational effectiveness strategies. They also participated in Foundation-organized professional development and networking-focused convenings. I helped launch, shape, and eventually lead the program, reviewing proposals, providing consultant oversight, and programming convenings. I also worked with my foundation and government colleagues to commission a special research study with TDC Group of our respective capacity-building initiatives and their collective impact on the Bay Area arts ecosystem.
